What excites you about the subject of the nude?
We like the strength of the act of getting undressed and the beauty of the body. We would like to represent sexuality in his exciting context and as an existential expression. As a consequence we create a new social and aesthetical entity. By the way in the game we are playing the first rule is pleasure, which imbues pictures and makes them evocative.

How far would you go? Are there taboos?
Our work starts from a little taboo, that is exhibitionism; that turns bodies into shame, sexuality in perversion and human nature in an escalation of already took decisions.

We do not actually care about facing or avoiding taboos: we are driven by our sensations, taste and pleasure.

When is a nude picture a work of art?
What is a work of art? We wouldn’t take the place of philosophers and critics: we don’t know it. We only know what we like.
We like rendering a pornographic picture a bit more poetic and at the same time giving to a “fine art” nude picture the right grade of carnal vulgarity, approaching sexuality to the world.
We like a nude picture (and we could therefore call it a work of art) when it is somehow revolutionary, when it forces us to change our point of view on themes that are very often subject to conformism such as beauty, sexuality, eroticism.

Do you have some inspiring examples/photographers/artists?
We get lot of inspiration from masters of photography like Araki, Richardson, Saudek, Witkins, Teller… from Japanese Shunga paintings, from the great work of Schiele and from Peppino O’ Meccanico.
We are also very fascinated by Caravaggio, because he knows about light more than any other, and by Ballard's poetry; anyway, our greatest inspiration is the continuous stream of pictures, ideas and behaviors found on the web every day.

With which other subjects you art is dealing as well?
We are fascinated by urban landscapes and the contrast between cold and rational architecture of big cities and the dirty and neurotic chaos of people living in it. We often try to represent our daily life and its objects: we suppose it’s unavoidable.

Which kind of project would you like to realize?
We intend to keep on with diffusing our projects with live exhibitions (web is very useful, but nothing compares to the attractiveness of a dressed room) and also through non institutional channels, to approach the “man in the street” and abroad. Moreover we started working on some videos: we find very interesting the expressive potential of moving images.
